Contribution to the orgin, interpretation and historic significance of the Unites States Declaration of Independence

The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to analyze historical context leading to the origin and adoption of United States Declaration of Independence. Thesis focuses not only at historical events directly related with announcement of Declaration but also at the process of its creation and adoption. Emphasis is placed on legal documents and publicist and philosophic writings which the author of Declaration used and also on the committee entrusted with creation of the document. Special attention is dedicated to Thomas Jefferson and mainly on answering question concerning how much Jefferson influenced final text of Declaration. Final part of this thesis is a brief evaluation of perception of this document in nowadays.
John Adams and Thomas Jefferson: Two Perceptions of the Character of the USA

Abstract Bachelor thesis "John Adams a Thomas Jefferson: Two Perceptions of the Character of the USA" deals with two American presidents who stood by the foundation of United States of the America. In terms of time and topic definition, the thesis is devoted to the Founding Era of the USA. The goal of this work was to compare political persons of the second and the third American president. Working method was base on the comparison both persons according to the three criteria - political thoughts on the form and the character of the government, political performance during their presidency and the personal characteristics of both presidents. In the thesis are used as the primary sources so the secondary ones. This bachelor thesis is divided into four parts. Firs chapter deals with the political biographies of both statesmen and their relationship as well. Second and third chapter analyze the Adams' and Jefferson's texts in which they expressed their political ideas about the character of the government in early USA. Last part of the work is devoted to the comparison of their political conceptions and also to the comparison of their political acts during their presidency. The conclusion of the work is that we can find a shift of the John Adams' conception from the beginning of the American Revolution,...

The Polemic about American Republicanism

ANNOTATION: Bachelor thesis adresses polemic of American republicanism, which should have represented ideological challenge to the established picture of liberalism as being main source of thought of American Revolution. This thesis is divided into two main chapters. The first one reinterprets text of Republican synthesis, which is expressed in the works of bernard Bailyn and Gordon. S. Wood. And the second one deals with representative of the Cambridge school - J.G.A. Pocock. Aim of this work is to show contradictions between authors and attempt to decide the debate that was unleashed around one of the Founding Fathers, Thomas Jefferson.
Louisiana purchase

The main purpose of the thesis is to illustrate a process of gradual development of America's diplomatic relations and skills which consequently led to the Louisiana Purchase. This land acquisition has been effected by a culmination of a series of events on two different continents. Therefore, the Purchase was not an act of signing, but an act which defined the state's existence, recognition, and acceptance by other nations. It is not sufficient to be aware of the events taking place shortly before the Purchase and therefore the paper presents political, diplomatic, industrial, and commercial reasons of England, Spain, and France which gave rise to the United States. The thesis is divided into respective centuries with their most important events and outcomes of the mutual negotiations between the three above mentioned Europeans powers. The moment when the English subjects became independent, later declaration of Independence, and the French Revolution are the examples of important milestones which eventually resulted in the land acquisition. However, it is not correct to think that once the problem of the area is settled, the future steps are a lot easier to take.
